Eight classes.

Stance, guard, jab and cross. Where everyone starts, whatever shape you're in.

Combinations on the heavy bags, then on the coach's mitts. The sweaty one.

One skill a week, drilled until it's yours: slips, pivots, counters.

Nine rounds in forty-five minutes. Back at your desk by one.

Controlled sparring in the ring, by invitation from your coach.

Kicks, knees and the clinch, taught from zero.

Hands and kicks together, on the bags and the pads.

Legs, core and shoulders for punching harder and lasting longer.
